Privacy Policy
Bible for Me: Audio Bible ("Bible for Me," "the app," "we," "us") is built by Hudley Holdings LLC. This policy covers the iPhone and Android apps. Bible for Me has no account, no ads, and no cross-app tracking. Your notes, prayers, and other personal content stay on your device and, when you enable the platform's backup or sync feature, in your private Apple or Google account.
The app, not us, holds your data
Bible for Me does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not run advertising or track you across other apps and websites. We cannot see what you read, listen to, highlight, or write. Both the iPhone and Android apps record a small set of anonymous usage and diagnostic events, described below.
Anything you create in the app, including your name (if you choose to enter one), notes, highlights, bookmarks, prayer journal entries, giving records, memorization progress, reading history, and settings, is stored locally on your device.
iCloud sync on iPhone
If you keep iCloud sync turned on (it can be turned off in Settings), the content listed above is synced through your own private iCloud account so it is available on your other devices and can be restored if you reinstall. This uses Apple's iCloud and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The data lives in your private iCloud storage. We do not have access to it and cannot read it.
Google Drive backup on Android (optional)
If you turn on Google Drive Backup in Settings, the app asks for permission to use its own hidden folder in your Google Drive (the drive.appdata scope; it cannot see or touch any other files in your Drive) and keeps one small file there with your highlights, notes, prayers, giving records, memorization progress, plan progress, and reading history. That file syncs between your devices when they are signed in to the same Google account. The file stays in your own Google account and never reaches a Hudley Holdings server; we cannot read it. Google Drive Backup is off by default. Turning it off stops syncing. You can remove the app's access at myaccount.google.com/connections, and delete the hidden file from Google Drive under Settings > Manage apps. This uses Google's infrastructure and is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Android backup
Separately from Google Drive Backup above, if Android's own device backup (sometimes called Auto Backup) is enabled for your device, Android can back up your Bible for Me database and settings to your private Google account and restore them after reinstalling the app or moving to another Android device. This is backup and restoration, not continuous synchronization between devices. Downloaded narration, cached purchase access, and RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck, and AppsFlyer identifiers are excluded from backup, so a restored device is not linked to your previous install's analytics or attribution data. Narration can be downloaded again, and purchases can be restored through Google Play. Android backup is controlled by your device and Google account settings and is governed by Google's privacy policy.
In-app purchases
Bible for Me offers an optional upgrade, Bible for Me Plus, sold as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a yearly Family plan on iPhone. Lifetime purchases made before the lifetime option was retired remain valid. On iPhone, Apple processes purchases through the App Store; on Android, Google processes them through Google Play. Hudley Holdings does not receive your payment-card details. Subscriptions renew through the store account used to buy them until you cancel in that store's settings. An Apple purchase does not automatically transfer to Google Play, or vice versa.
The app uses RevenueCat to verify store purchases and manage Plus entitlement status. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription information, store purchase tokens or receipts, a generated anonymous App User ID, app and device metadata, and ordinary connection information such as an IP address. Bible for Me does not send your notes, prayers, reading history, or other personal app content to RevenueCat. On Android, automatic advertising-identifier collection is disabled. Learn more in RevenueCat's privacy policy, Apple's privacy policy, and Google's privacy policy.
Audio narration
On iPhone, spoken chapters are delivered as on-demand audio packs hosted by Apple. On Android, optional narration is delivered through Google Play Asset Delivery. When you request an Android narration book, Google Play downloads the on-demand pack that contains that book and the other books in the same 16- or 17-book group. Apple or Google processes the delivery request and ordinary account, device, and connection information under its terms and privacy policy. Hudley Holdings does not operate a separate narration download server or receive narration access logs. Downloaded narration plays offline and can be removed in the app.
Location and the optional church finder
On iPhone, if you tap to search near you, the app asks for permission to use your location once and passes it to Apple Maps for that search. You can type a city instead. On Android, Bible for Me does not request location permission; the church finder opens the location or search in the maps app you choose. Any information processed by Apple Maps, Google Maps, or another maps app is governed by that app's permissions and privacy policy. Bible for Me does not store your location.
The Biblical Map on Android
The in-app Biblical Map shows the geography of Bible events. When a Google Maps API key is configured for the app, the map draws real map imagery through the Google Maps SDK for Android; your device's IP address and the map tiles it requests go to Google to load that imagery. If no key is configured, or Google Play services are unavailable, the app falls back to a built-in offline map and no map request leaves your device. The Biblical Map does not use or request your device's location. Google Maps SDK processing is governed by Google's privacy policy.
In-app feedback
If you use the in-app feedback form, the app sends your message, optional email address, app version, operating-system version, device manufacturer and model, and language after you tap Send. A Cloudflare Worker validates and rate-limits the request and forwards it to hello@hudleyholdings.com. Cloudflare processes ordinary connection information, including your IP address, to deliver and rate-limit the request. The Worker does not write feedback to a database; a copy is delivered to our support email inbox.
Anonymous analytics and purchase records
On iPhone, the app sends a small number of anonymous usage and diagnostic events (for example, "onboarding started" or "paywall viewed") to TelemetryDeck. These events use a pseudonymous identifier and are not linked to an app account, because the app has no account. TelemetryDeck does not receive the content of anything you read, listen to, or write. If you arrived from an Apple Search Ads ad, the iPhone app may receive an attribution token from Apple that reports whether the campaign worked without using the advertising identifier (IDFA). The iPhone app also uses AppsFlyer, in a mode built on Apple's SKAdNetwork with no advertising identifier and no tracking prompt, to measure which ad campaign led to an install, and RevenueCat reports validated trial and purchase events to AppsFlyer and TelemetryDeck under the same anonymous identifiers. The iPhone app also collects crash and performance reports through Apple's MetricKit. See AppsFlyer's privacy policy.
On Android, the app sends the same kind of anonymous usage and diagnostic events to TelemetryDeck: for example, which onboarding step was reached, whether a narrator sample was played, whether the Plus screen was shown or a purchase was started, and crash or freeze reports. Events carry a pseudonymous identifier generated on your device when the app is installed, plus app version, Android version, device model, and language and region settings. TelemetryDeck does not receive the content of anything you read, listen to, or write. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
The Android app also uses AppsFlyer to measure which install came from which ad campaign. AppsFlyer receives an AppsFlyer ID generated for the install, the Google Play install referrer (a short string describing the store listing or ad link that led to the install), app and device information, your IP address, and the same kind of anonymous event names described above, but not your answers to the onboarding questions. RevenueCat also reports validated trial, purchase, renewal, and cancellation events to AppsFlyer and TelemetryDeck, keyed to the same anonymous identifiers. Bible for Me does not use or send your device's advertising ID: that permission is removed from the Android app, and advertising-identifier collection is turned off in the AppsFlyer SDK. AppsFlyer may share campaign results, such as that an install or purchase came from a specific ad, with the ad network that ran that campaign. See AppsFlyer's privacy policy. Purchase verification on both platforms is described above.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect your contacts, browsing history, journal content, or advertising identifier. We receive an email address only if you choose to include one with feedback. We do not sell personal information. The app shows no ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Aggregated App Store data
Apple and Google may provide us with aggregate store statistics such as download counts, purchase totals, and technical reports. Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information if you opted to share it with developers in your device settings. The stores govern their collection and processing of this information.
This website
bibleforme.app is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare provides aggregate traffic counts and processes ordinary connection and security information when serving the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Bible for Me is not directed to children under 13. The app contains no ads, cross-app tracking, or account system, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent personal information through feedback, contact us at the address below.
Your control and deletion
You can edit or delete notes, prayers, and other personal content in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes its on-device data. On iPhone, turn off iCloud sync and remove the app's data from iCloud to remove synced copies. On Android, turn off Google Drive Backup and delete the hidden file as described above to remove your synced copy, and manage or remove Android backup data through your Android or Google backup settings. Uninstalling the Android app also removes the on-device identifiers used for anonymous analytics and attribution. There is no Bible for Me account to delete. Store purchase records are managed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat under their respective policies. To ask us to delete purchase-verification, analytics, or attribution records held for your installation by RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck, or AppsFlyer, contact hello@hudleyholdings.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the revised version at this address. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
